Iridology is the analysis of patterns and structures in the iris of the eye.
The iris is composed of thousands of nerve endings which are connected through the nervous system to every tissue of the body. The nerve fibres respond specifically to tissue and organ conditions with a corresponding physiological reflex manifested in the iris as lesions and colour variations. The iris chart maps the main organs and body systems onto different parts of the iris. The iris is 100% unique to each individual, with a higher individuality than even finger prints. Therefore it can provide detailed insight into inherited predispositions, with changes in texture, density and pigmentation indicating possible weaknesses, strengths and behavioural traits.
It is not a diagnostic tool, but it does provide useful information about your body, mind, emotional and behavioural patterns, which allows us to put any existing symptoms into a more specific framework and hone in on which bio-systems are most likely to be leading to those symptoms. As such, it can help identify an individualised preventative plan so that people may know what to look out for and put measures in place to support their weaker organs or predispositions.
The Iridology consultation is separate from a nutrition consultation and is a stand alone session in which we will take a magnified photo of your iris and discuss some of the findings together. It will then be followed by a written report and some basic nutritional guidelines in accordance with the observed findings.
